What is a custom section block?
"Custom section" is a content block you can add to your guidebook.
How to use a custom section?
"Custom section" blocks are used to add detailed, custom information to your guidebook.
For example:
- How operate the coffee machine;
- How to use the hot tub, pool or sauna;
- A section about a local cafe, restaurant, bar, pub or club.
You can tailor "Custom sections" to your own specific needs.
Where to place a custom section?
You can add the "Custom section" block both as a first level block or as a nested block.
Every new content block that you'll add to your guidebook, regardless of its type, will be placed at the bottom of your existing content blocks on the left hand side editor.
When to create a custom section as a first level block?
You would create a custom section block as a first level block if there are no default topical sections that cover a certain question your guests might have.
When to add a custom section as a nested block?
You would add a custom section block as a second or third level block (nested block) to describe instructions for a certain appliance, equipment, amenity etc. For example:
- You would nest a custom section block "Coffee Machine Instructions" under a first level block "Kitchen".
- You would nest a custom section block "Lilly's Burger Place" under a second level block "Restaurants".
- You would nest a custom section block "John's Fishing Activity" under a second level block "Activities".
