What is "header" block?
"Header" is a content block you can add to your guidebook to add a highlighted or bold piece of text, or to add social account icons.
How to use "header" content block?
Here are some examples how to use "header" content block :
- Adding your business brand name;
- Adding welcome text to your guests;
- Adding your your business social account icons.
You can tailor "header" content block to your own specific needs.
Where to place "header" content block?
It is best to use "header" content block both as a first level block.
Every new content block that you'll add to your guidebook, regardless of its type, will be placed at the bottom of your existing content blocks on the left hand side editor.
1. Adding "header" block
- Click on "Add block" at the top of guidebook editor.
- Select "header".
- The new block will be automatically placed at the bottom of your existing blocks.
2. Editing "header" block
Edit the block content:
- Type in the "Title" (highlighted/header text) for the block.
- Type in the additional information/instructions for your guests in the block's "Description".
- Add as many social account icons as you want.
To hide the block so it is not visible to your guests:
- Click the "Green slider" button at the top right to hide the block.
- To make the block visible to your guests, simply click the same slider button once again.
Adding social account icons
You can add you social account to the header block so that when your guests click on them, they will be redirected to your social accounts.
- Click on "Add social media account";
- Choose the type of the account you want to add;
- In the respective social account's text box paste in the link to your account.
If you want to delete/remove a social account icon, simply click on "Trash" icon by the account you want to remove.
Rearrange social icons
- Click and hold your click;
- Drag and drop to rearrange the order of your social icons.
Adding a WhatsApp icon
- Click on "Add social media account";
- Choose "WhatsApp";
- In the WhatsApp textbox paste in the following text:
- wa.me/[your phone number]
IMPORTANT: For the WhatsApp icon to function correctly, it is important that you follow this format "wa.me/xxx" and replace the "xxx" with your phone number.
Once typing in your phone number:
- Include your country code;
- Avoid any spaces, dashes or other special characters.
For example, if this is was your phone number (555) 555-1234 then this is how you would use the WhatsApp icon: wa.me/5555551234
